The great thing about being in a pepband (other than being able to play a instrument with a group of people), are the funny links that get passed around! Usually I just click on the link, watch the video, and move on. THIS time, however, the video is sooo cool that I have to share it on Behold! “Super Mario theme recreated by driving an RC car at perfectly placed line of glass bottles.” Kudos to whoever made that happen, since that was a pretty long line of bottles. Guitar Hero DS Modified for a Full Guitar

An intrepid hacker over at Hack-a-day has modified Guitar Hero On-Tour for the DS so that it can be played on a full size guitar. I’m not sure if this mod reduces the level of goofy, but it certainly couldn’t hurt, judging from the original way you’re supposed to play it.

BLIP FESTIVAL: REFORMAT THE PLANET is a documentary about the pioneers in the Chiptune genre. These musicians use old video game hardware to make original electronic music. It definitely brings a sense of nostalgia if you had any interaction with early video game hardware like the Commodore 64, NES, or Gameboy.
