This is based on a recent IM conversation I had with my brother. I used the short hand <3, to which he replied, “PENIS?!” I explained, “Less than three means heart you idiot.” This turned into a futile battle. In the end his opinion never changed and now whenever I see “<3″ I think of tiny penises….
Anyway, go figure the most recent comic post has <3′s in it huh?
An intrepid hacker over at Hack-a-day has modified Guitar Hero On-Tour for the DS so that it can be played on a full size guitar. I’m not sure if this mod reduces the level of goofy, but it certainly couldn’t hurt, judging from the original way you’re supposed to play it.
A friend of mine pounced me with this amazing LINK (pun intended) to handmade arigumi (knitted japanese dolls)! The delicately created and highly detailed dolls blew my mind away. If I had the money to splurge I’d totally go and order the Fellowship to stand on my wall in a cool frame. *le sigh*
We’ve all gone through history classes and learned over and over again about many wars. This topic was never my favorite subject and I never thought I’d actually retain any of the information. Well, I could actually pick out most of the events from this video (maybe because it is illustrated with food ^_^ YUM.)! Perhaps if i was taught history via animated food, I would have taken greater interest in the subject. Enjoy!
The great thing about being in a pepband (other than being able to play a instrument with a group of people), are the funny links that get passed around! Usually I just click on the link, watch the video, and move on. THIS time, however, the video is sooo cool that I have to share it on Behold! “Super Mario theme recreated by driving an RC car at perfectly placed line of glass bottles.” Kudos to whoever made that happen, since that was a pretty long line of bottles. Check out their video and Digg it if you like it!
“Al” over on YouTube recently put up a video of himself taking a shower, thankfully keeping the naughty bits out of frame. With Navy Showers, he explains, we can all do our part to conserve water. These modified showers are often used on boats or submarines where fresh water is at a premium.
Briefly, here’s how to take a Navy Shower:
Turn on water
Wet your body thoroughly, but quickly
Turn off water
Lather up and scrub
Turn water back on and thoroughly rinse off the soap
